Trackside Bikes is a community cycle programme which provides cycle training, low-cost services and repairs, a bike loan scheme, and the sale of new bikes and equipment.

Meet the Team

SQA Cycle Provision

Our team delivers outdoor cycle provision to schools across North Lanarkshire as part of the SVQF. We have supported hundreds of young people to gain new skills and confidence through cycling.

We also provide young people with alternative curriculum choices in cycling and work placements in bike mechanics.

Bike Servicing and Repairs

Our team of qualified Velotech mechanics provide low-cost bike repairs and refurbished bikes to the local community.

We are comparatively lower on pricing than any high-street bike shop!

* Any extras not included in the service will be charged on top of the price of the service if necessary.

NHS Bike Loan Scheme

In partnership with NHS Lanarkshire and Paths for All, we have set the wheels in motion to enable its staff to enjoy the benefits of cycling through free bicycle hire.

This low-cost hire scheme of a folding e-bike and is open to all NHS Lanarkshire staff for 30 days. A following 1-month extended loan can arranged at a cost of £20 (maximum of 1-month).

Priority is given to staff on lower salary bands and student nurses.
